Fast Track Trigger for the ATLAS Experiment at LHC
Trigger upgrades and improvements are expected to be a continuous
effort at the ATLAS experiment at LHC. The Fast Track Trigger (FTK) is a
project to add a tracking hardware trigger for efficiently triggering
high momentum leptons and bottom quarks for high pT physics (W, Z,
Top, Higgs, SUSY, ...).
FTK design concept is based on the SVT (silicon-vertex-trigger) system at the CDF.
Recently we set up a teststand to understand the CDF SVT which leads to
the design of the ATLAS FTK.
