SLINK to PCI, device driver, PC platform etc related work: status and who works on what
- Jan. 2002: ordered SSPCI/SPCIS and SLIDAS/SLIDAD/SLITEST cards from CERN and initially tested with Hawaii (by Sidik Isani of CFHT Telescope project) device driver/test software (TL)
- June. 2002: Summer student Derek Kingrey started to work on the simple
SLINK to PCI and PCI to SLINK cards (supervised by TL): software and device driver,
based on the device driver and software from Hawaii.
- Aug. 2002: Derek finished his summer program and have the software ready for initial check-out of Pulsar prototypes (which was very useful later in Oct. for Pulsar prototype testing)
- Sept. borrowed one S32PCI64 from CERN(TL), sent to Upenn on Sept. 13th. Paul at Upenn will work on this new interface card. Kristian will also start working on this with Pual. Paul ordered PCs with 3.3V PCI slots for this work. Peter Wittich is coordinating this effort. Ordered a few S32PCI64 cards from
the company Nowoczesna Elektronika (TL).
