Jtag chain
Each FPGA on Pulsar has its own Jtag connection. These Jtag
connectors are inside the board and users can use them
for debugging purpose, but cannot access them with a fully
loaded crate. There is one option to chain all three FPGAs
together (Jtag chain, via jumpers) which allows user to
configure the three FPGAs from the Jtag connector on the
front panel. We may also use the Jtag chain to use
the SignalTap capability to debug Pulsar prototypes.
Another option to configure the FPGAs is via VME, this is implemented
as well (see Control FPGA and, DataIO FPGA and top level schematics).
