Search for New Physics in High Pt Z+X (Preblessing) (Alexander Paramonov)

- Search for new heavy quarks pair produced and decay into WZ or ZZ
- Look for excess in the high Z-pt tail
- Using high Pt electron and muon data samples of ~305 pb-1
- Sasha does not observe any Z(ee,mumu)+gamma event for high Pt Z
  (pt>120 GeV).
  - Beate wanted to check why the high-pt Zgamma event in her 
    analysis did not appear in Sasha's Z+gamma plots at high Z pt
    - She will send the run/event number to him.
- Showed the signal acceptance as function of Z Pt (page 28).
  - The sharp drop in the acceptance at Pt~300 GeV maybe due
    to low MC statistic, and also due to isolation cut since the
    two lepton from Z decay are very close to each other
  - Do not understand the drop in acceptance at Pt~120 GeV
    (left plot (ee channel ?))
    - Not sure if this is statistic issue, will generate more MC events
- Compute limit for both ee and mumu channel separately.
  Conveners asked Sasha if he can combine results from both channels.
