Matthew Worcester Personal
Welcome to my personal page. Learn a little
about me here. My wife, Elizabeth is a physicist as well.
Our family pictures are on blogspot:
theworcesters.blogspot.com.
Our baby girl Cate (a.k.a. Catherine Pearl) was born on
December 28th and both mommy and baby are healthy and happy.
Jack is now six and a kindergardener! He is
going to the Chicago Lab School, where he went last year for pre-K.
He really had a good time there last year. Ellis turned two in August, and
he is a wild man. He loves to chase and wrestle with Jack, and he has
taken to puzzles and games as his favorite quiet activity.
What I've been up to in the past few years when not building muon
detectors, generating neutrino Monte Carlo and thinking about
neutrinos:
- welcoming my first
daughter,
Catherine Pearl Worcester, on December 28th, 2010
- welcoming my second
son,
Ellis Cliveden Worcester, on August 14th, 2007
- welcoming two new kitties, Zoot and
Shelby, into our family and
our new puppy, Hugo, another Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel
- losing our beloved dog, Moses, when
he passed away in November, 2006 and losing our kitty, Max, when he
escaped and was lost in the summer of 2006
- defending my thesis and
earning my doctoral degree in Physics from UCLA in May, 2004
- welcoming my son, John
Matthew Worcester, into the world on March 8th, 2004
- buying a new house on the south side of Chicago in February, 2004
- being dianosed
with leukemia in March, 2003
- getting married
on August 24th, 2002 to my wife Elizabeth (followed by
our honeymoon in the Yucatan peninsula
of Mexico)
