The Best Western Inn of Chicago is a newly redecorated 357-room hotel located one-half block east of Michigan Avenue, Chicago's "Magnificent Mile." It is convenient to museums and galleries, restaurants and shopping and provides access to the nearby Grand Ohio Athletic Club, offering tennis and racquetball courts, fitness equipment, a swimming pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool. Room service is available and there is a restaurant in the hotel serving American cuisine and a lounge for cocktails and light appetizers. Valet parking is available. There is hourly motor coach service to and from O'Hare and Midway Airports. Daily chartered bus service will be provided to and from the University of Chicago Hyde Park campus.

Please make your room reservation at the time you make your Conference reservation, or as soon thereafter as possible. Pre-payment is required for the duration of your stay.

The New Graduate Residence is a 3-story University residential facility on the Hyde Park Campus. All rooms have individually controlled air conditioning and private bath rooms. Rooms are furnished with a single bed (two in doubles) a desk and chair, a lounge chair, a dresser and a closet or wardrobe. Each room has a telephone with a private direct number for incoming calls; outgoing calls can be made with a major telephone calling card. Daily maid service is provided. There is an exercise room and a television lounge. Parking is available in a secured lot behind the building at $5.00 for the length of your stay. The fee is payable upon arrival.

C & W Transportation provides scheduled bus service to and from O'Hare Airport. Arrangements must be made well ahead of time for service to and from Midway Airport.

The New Graduate Residence is located 7 blocks from Kersten Physics Teaching Center, where the conference will take place. There will be shuttle van service to and from Kersten for those who prefer not to walk.
