[Seminars] Fwd: [openlvem] Reminder: Three LVK webinars on GWTC-3 results next week

Hi everyone,

For those that might be interested, there will be three webinars
summarizing the latest LIGO data release (encapsulated in the catalog paper
<https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.03606>, cosmology paper
<https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.03604>, and populations paper
<https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.03634>). Amanda Farah
<https://physics.uchicago.edu/people/profile/amanda-farah/> will be one of
the presenters of the population paper, since she played a major role in
producing the results and writing up the paper.

The presentations will be next week on Monday, Thursday, and Friday at 9am.

Next week, the LVK will host three public webinars to present results
related to compact binary discoveries made during the third observing run:

Mon, 6 Dec 2021, at 10:00 Eastern US, the LVK will present “GWTC-3: Compact
Binary Coalescences Observed During the Second Part of the Third Observing
Run." You must register (in advance) for the webinar at

Thu, 9 Dec 2021, at 10:00 Eastern US, the LVK will present “Constraints on
the cosmic expansion history from GWTC-3." You must register (in advance)
for the webinar at https://bit.ly/31nift0

Fri, 10 Dec 2021, at 10:00 Eastern US, the LVK will present “The population
of merging compact binaries inferred using gravitational waves through
GWTC-3." You must register (in advance) for the webinar at
https://bit.ly/3G7u2u1

Recordings will be made available at www.ligo.org for those who cannot
attend the live event.
