Proposed muon triggers in the CDFnote 4718


These are the muon triggers from the latest version of the CDFnote 4718.

  1. High-Pt central muons (Contact: Henry Frisch)
     L1:  Pt(XFT) > 12 GeV
     L2:  Track matching from 2.5 to 1.25 degree
     L3:  Pt(COT) > 18 GeV (possible...) && |delta_x| < 10 cm
         (Pt cut could be raised for high Lum.)
    
  2. Central dimuons for J/Psi (Contact: Andrea Korn )
     L1: Two muons (CMU or CMX) Pt(XFT)>2.0 GeV 
     L2: Opposite sign,  1.5 < Mt < 3.25 GeV
     L3: 2.85 < Mt < 3.25 GeV
    
  3. Electron/Muon+isolated track (ee,emu, mumu) (Contact: Teruki Kamon )
      Path: CMUP+track
            L1: Pt(XFT) > 4.0 GeV
    	L2: Additional isolated track Pt> 5.0 GeV
    	L3: Pt(COT) > 8 GeV, EM<2, HAD<6
    	    |Del(X) CMU |< 10cm
    	    |Del(X) CMP |< 20cm
    
      Path: CMX+track
    
            L1: Pt(XFT) > 4.0 GeV
    	L2: Additional isolated track Pt> 5.0 GeV
    	L3: Pt(COT) > 8 GeV, EM<2, HAD<6
    
  4. Identified dileptons (ee,emu, and mumu) (Contact: David Saltzberg )
      Path: CMUP + CMUP
    
            L1: Two CMUP muons Pt(XFT)> 4 GeV
    	L2: Delta(phi) > 3.75 degree
    	L3: Confirms L2 using COT tracking
    
      Path: CMUP + CMX: same as above
      Path: CMX + CMX : same as above
      Path: CEM + CMUP: e + mu (same as above)
      Path: CEM + CMX : e + mu (same as above)
      Path: PEM + CMUP: e + mu (same as above)
      Path: PEM + CMX : e + mu (same as above)
    
    
  5. Lepton + displaced track (Contact:Masashi Tanaka)
      Path: mu + displaced track
    
           L1: A CMUP muon Pt(XFT) > 4 GeV
           L2: Correlated SVT track: d> 120 micron, 
               5 < del(phi)  < 90 degree
           L3: Confirmed L2 object
    
      Path: mu + displaced track without kinematic constraint
